Before a user can begin posting time entries, Staff Charge Out Rates must be configured. These are defined within the Staff Setup section of DRIVE.
Step 1: Access Staff Setup
Open the DRIVE Desktop application.
From the main menu, go to Staff.
Step 2: Add a New Staff Member
Click the New icon on the DRIVE toolbar.
This will open the “Add a Staff” window.
Step 3: Set the Charge Out Rate
There are two ways to configure the Charge Out Rate:
Option 1: Use Grade Rates
Select a Grade for the staff member.
The system will automatically assign the default charge out rate based on the Grade settings.
Option 2: Define Your Own Rate
Click the Add button to manually enter a custom rate for the staff member.
This option allows full control over the rate applied to their time postings.
Final Step: Save the Staff Record
Once the charge out rate is configured, click Save to complete the setup.
You can now post time entries for this staff member.
