To define the deadline dates you must select the Workflow/Deadline option in the Tools menu (Tools > Workflow/Deadline > Define Deadline Dates) as shown below.
The Define Deadline Dates window will appear. The list of existing fixed and user-defined deadlines will be displayed. Note that the deadlines are based on country. Drive has system defaults for Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
To define a new deadline, select the New button from the toolbar.
The Add New Deadline Dates window will be displayed.
Description of Date: Give the new deadline a description.
Short Description: Give the deadline a short description. This is limited to 5 characters.
The description will be an available filter in the Client and Staff deadline diary.
Under which Group: Select what group the deadline will be displayed in the Define Deadline Dates window.
Staff: Assign the deadline to a specific staff member.
Entity Type: Select the Entity types that this deadline will be applicable.
Duration: Enter the duration of the task in hours and minutes format.
Type of Date: DRIVE recognizes three types of deadline dates. Depending on the selection you make you will have different options available.
Fixed: Enter the Fixed Day/Month in the field as shown in figure 5. This date is now fixed for each year.
Variable: Enter the number of Days/Weeks/Months - After/Before the Year-End Date/Annual
Return Date/Incorporation Date/Trading Date.
Recurring: Enter the first frequency of recurring deadlines, Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Bi-Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly, and Annually are the available options.
Note: The Apply for all Clients button will allow you to apply the deadline date for all clients.
Click the OK button to complete the deadline date setup. It will now be displayed in the Define Deadline Dates window.
