If receiving any of the following error messages, it may be because you current version of the software is out of date.
To check which version of CoSec you are currently using, on the home screen it can be seen in the top left or by going to Help->About.
ShareholdersQuery - If getting the error message “ShareholdersQuery: Type mismatch for field ‘Share8’ expecting: integer actual: float, your Company Secretary software is likely out of date.
- To Correct, please go to Tools-> Utilities ->Get Latest Version of the Program
- This will automatically start a download of the updater which can then be found in your downloads folder.
- Once downloaded, run the file and follow on screen instructions to update.
- The destination folder should be the same folder in which your Relate Company Secretary is installed. Your IT department will be able to help you locate this.
If getting the following error message - Business Rule (Director Details PPS or Identified Person number (IPN) is mandatory) but all PPS number have been entered correctly, it is likely your CoSec program is out of date.

If getting any error message relating to “Cannot Send B1” with no specific error message, please check which version of CoSec you are currently on.
- This can be seen in the top left corner of the screen.
- If not on version 7.0 please follow the steps below.
