There is a useful add-in for Drive that will allow you to integrate it with your Microsoft Office apps, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook so that you can send files, emails, and documents directly to the Drive system. Before you can use it, you will need to download it, install it, and set it up on your machine.
Installation
To download the MS Office Add-In file, you will need to go to https://www.relate-software.com/ and select the log-in button in the top right of the screen.
If you have never logged in before, you will need to select Sign Up. If you have any issues with receiving the sign-up email, please contact our support team on 014597800 and they will be able to send you the file to download to your machine.
Once logged in, you will select Drive CRM & Practice Management from the list of products as shown on the list below.
Select Downloads from the options as below.
Scroll to find Drive MS Office Add-In and click ‘Click here to download’ beside the relevant option. The file will download to your machine.
Click the download that appears in the bottom left of your screen and open it. You will see setup.exe – click this to run and install. Once done, you will be able to open Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook and use the Send to Drive button in the Drive tab shown along the top to send it directly to your Drive system after saving.
The first time you do this, the Database screen will pop up so you can ensure it integrates with correct database (this may happen if you have several databases set for Drive or use a demo database). Ensure you enter the correct information here or it will not work.
You can get this information by opening your Drive system and selecting Tools – Change Database as below.
Sometimes, the Send to Drive button does not appear. If this happens, you can double-check that all the Add-Ins are allowed by going to File – Options in the relevant app (Word, Excel, Outlook). From here, select the Add-In option along the left. If you do not see DriveOffice under Enabled Add-Ins, select Disabled Add-Ins under the dropdown for Manage and it will give you a list. If you see DriveOffice here, highlight it and click enable. You will then need to restart your machine and applications.
