There are a few ways to record a phone call in Drive. From the Client and Contact Database window, find the client that you want to record the call against using the Fast Search option. Once you find the client i.e., Aqua Food, select the Make a Phone Call icon (circled) or right-click on the client and select Make a Phone Call as shown in below.
The following screen will appear. As you can see below, Aqua Food automatically appears in the client field.
Notice that there is a timer at the bottom of the Phone, and this can be activated to record the length of time you are on the call. This duration of time can then be passed to the timesheet if you choose to ‘Generate Timesheet’ as in Diary and Tasks.
Once you have entered all the details into the Phone window, you can click Save & Close and the call will be logged against the client i.e. Aqua Food as shown here.
You can also record phone calls elsewhere in the system. For example, if you are on the Diary window and receive a call from a client, you will want to record details. By pressing F6, a communications ribbon toolbar is added above the normal icon toolbar as shown below. This will allow you to record several communication types without leaving the Diary.
