You will encounter an error when you save your bill if there is a mismatch with the allocation or amounts. These will relate to Fees and WIP. To avoid these errors - follow the below rules.
- Net amount must match the bill amount and the nominal analysis tab.
- WIP Allocation needs to match the Allocated column.
- Accrued WIP Profit/Loss needs to match the Recovery tab.
If you do not follow these rules, you will get the errors shown here.
Fees Error
Here, the system is showing the error because the Net Amount and Bill Amount do not match. You can see the Net Amount on the top right is €100 but the Bill Amount, split between two jobs (Audit & Accountancy and Bookkeeping)is €110. The system will not allow saving this bill unless the amount has been corrected.
WIP Error
You will see this error if the WIP has been entered but not allocated correctly. You can use the Auto option from the top to allocate the WIP and Fees automatically and avoid this. The Reverse option can do the opposite and undo the allocations for you.
Nominal Error
This error will occur if you do not match the Net Amount and Bill Amount to your Nominal Analysis. Ensure these are entered correctly before saving.
